Speaking of the military and the war being prosecuted professionally and all that, two pieces from Hack's page had me going back for a re-read this morning. It's a hard thing, to "support the troups" on the one hand, (whatever the fuck that means) and critisize their leadership with the other. I guess we're just going to have to figure out how it's done.

I guess the question that keeps jumping out at me is, "why are we so disconnected from all this?" What avenues do we have to affect the military? Could we come to expect more out of our media in the way of informative coverage?
Or is it a class disconnect?
